Programs and Community Outreach
The Labrador Friendship Centre's Programs and Community Outreach Department is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and welcoming space for our community. Through a wide range of programs and events, we promote social connection, wellness, and community support for Indigenous and non-Indigenous residents of Happy Valley-Goose Bay and surrounding communities. All our programming is designed to strengthen community engagement and support holistic well-being.
Programs and outreach initiatives include:
Artisan and crafting workshops
Lunch and learns
Wellness and fitness sessions
Afternoon tea & coffee drop-ins
Bingo, cards, and board game afternoons
Cooking classes
On-site greenhouse initiative
Senior's programming
Women's friendship circle
Men's wellness project
The Programs and Community Outreach Department recognizes the importance of partnerships and collaborations. We strive to build relationships with like-minded community organizations and individuals to ensure our programming is inclusive and far-reaching.
The Programs and Community Outreach Department often looks for volunteers to assist with programs, services, and other initiatives. If you would be interested in volunteering, please touch base with a member of our team below.
